Application and Information for New Artists
Jury Process
A minimum of five photographs or 35 mm slides and two piece of your
original work must be presented of each medium you wish to have
juried. Label each picture of slide with you name, the medium and the
dimensions. All photographs and slides will be returned to you after
they have been judged.
The Open Door Gallery will reserve the right to determine the eligibility
of any artist for inclusion as an exhibitor in the Gallery in accordance
with the jury process and/ or invitational processes.
Artists may only exhibit works in the categories approved by the jury.
After being juried into the gallery, work that is shown must be of the
same quality as that submitted to the jury. The Open Door Gallery jurors
may, at their discretion, have work removed that is not consistent with
the photographs or slides submitted.
All work MUST be original in concept and executed by the submitting
artist. No mass produced or commercial reproductions (kits, molds,
etc.) will be accepted.
Membership Fees
Each member pays a membership fee of $50. Annually. This is payable
in November and is prorated semi-annually.

Commission Plans
---Plan 1- 35% commission AND one 4 hour work shift or $25.00 rent per
month.
---Plan 2 – 28% commission AND two 4 hour work shifts of $50.00 rent
per month.
---Plan 3- 20% commission and three 4 hour work shifts or $75.00 per
month.
---Christmas Artist – No Membership; non refundable annual fee of
$25.00; 10% sales commission; work displayed November 1st through

---Teacher Member- Class space may be rented for $25.00 per hour, with
a maximum of 10 students per class.
