| Exhibition Rules Artists are to submit a photograph of themselves and a one page biography suitable for display. The biography should include but is not limited to: a statement of who you are, what inspired you to work as an artist, you art education, exhibitions,publication,awards,commissions and a mission statement. Marketing your work using business cards, biographies and handout description of your work are encouraged. You are requested to submit a list of names, addresses and telephone numbers of people you would like to have placed on the Gallery’s mailing list. Each work you submit must be labeled with an item code. Your item codes should begin with your 3 initials followed by identifying numbers and the selling price, including the commission but no sales tax. An inventory sheet must accompany pieces to be shown. Each item of inventory must contain the artist’s item code, a brief description the article and the price of each article. Artwork is displayed at he discretion of the Gallery jurors. Artists are required to rotate their work every three months. The jurors may choose to remove from display work that has been exhibited longer. Invitation Exhibitors- “One Man Shows” Artists invited to do one person shows or group shows and are not in any of the above categories as a participating exhibitor will be charged 40% commission on work sold. There will be no rental or membership fees and no work requirements. The artist, however, will be required to be present for any receptions held in conjunction with the showing of their work. No spouse or representative will be permitted in place of the artist unless written permission is obtained at least fifteen days before the event. The works in these invitational shows will be displayed for one month. Artist invited to show works would be deemed to have been juried into the Gallery and will automatically be accepted as a participating exhibitor and subject to the membership terms |
